I was on Phish tour over Father's Day weekend so I couldn't be there to help celebrate. Matt cooked a wonderful meal and Nancy said it was a great evening. I did call and speak to him for a while and told him I was going to take him out for a beer dinner hosted by Dogfish Head Ale House in Fairfaix. We both love beer and especially to native Rehoboth Beach Dogfish so this was a win all around. Great food, company and beer all night long. Winning!

I was planning on hiking in the Shenandoah for Veterans Day but the rain from Hurricane Ida washed the plan away. So when my dad invited me along with him to visit the Vietnam Memorial and American History Museum in DC it sure sounded better than sitting at home. Despite the dreary weather it was a great afternoon spent in the city with my dad.

Actually my friend Rob wanted to see a game so we setup a Sunday afternoon trip to the ball park to watch the Nats take on the Braves. Would my Dad's win streak hold up? Read on to find out and see what happened on our trip the Nationals Stadium for a lazy Sunday afternoon ball game.
