Bucket List

I think everyone should have a list of things to do before they die. Things that are not easy to do, but well worth the time and effort. For me effort comes mostly down to money, with a little bit of travel thrown in so it wouldn’t be so easy. :)

This list is current as of February 6th 2022.

So here we go, in no particular order…

swim the Amazon River
climb the Great Pyramid of Giza
walk along the Great Wall of China
eat sushi in Tokyo
scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef
bungee jump
drink Guinness in Ireland
eat fish and chips in London
watch the sun rise and set in Hawaii, in the same day
have a drink at Sloppy Joe’s in the Key West
smoke a Cuban cigar on a beach in Cuba
surf Waikiki Beach
sky dive……again (did this one several years ago with my mom, love you mom)
go on safari in Africa
visit the volcanoes on the Big Island of Hawaii
attend a Formula 1 race in Monaco
stay at the Hotel De Paris in Monaco
loss money at the Casino De Monte Carlo in Monaco
drive the German Autobahn
go to Munich German for Oktoberfest
eat deep dish pizza in Chicago
see the Aurora Borealis (either pole is fine, but I would like to travel to Antarctica if given a choice)
hike to the top of Machu Picchu in Peru
see Medeski, Martin and Wood play in another country
see Phish perform a Halloween show
see Phish perform another NYE show
watch a professional UEFA or other European soccer match live
visit the Parthenon in Greece
see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO
go to the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans
Attend the Great American Beer Festival in Denver
buy gear and go fly fishing
Visit the British Museum in London
see an orchestra performance at the Kennedy Center
Own a book that is 500+ years old, leather bound, hand printed
buy an actual piece of art, something painted by hand and hang it in the family room
own a small two seat classic coupe (some ideas: Jaguar E-Type from 60’s – 70’s, Shelby 427 S/C (original or modern copy), Jaguar XK120, Ferrari 250, Aston Martin DB5)
drive my car around a race track as part of a local Track Day
But a vintage motorcycle
See the cherry blossoms in Japan
Buy a 50-year bottle of highland scotch whiskey (could probably settle for 40-year)
walk along the Appian Way in Rome
Fly on a Boeing 747, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and an Airbus A380
Back pack across Europe
See the Milky Way from the southern hemisphere
See the Vienna Philharmonic Summer Night Concert in Schönbrunn Palace
See the New Mastersounds in England, Leeds at the Domino Club if possible.
See Soulive on tour again, preferable over seas if given the options.
See a music festival in a foreign country. (Fuji Rock Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Reading, Isle of Wight, North Sea Jazz Festival)
Visit the Davidoff store in Geneva. Rue de Rive 2, 1204 Genève, Switzerland
See a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral. Seeing either a Saturn V or bigger would be the best.

eat at Band of Bohemia, the first US Michelin star rated brewery (completed August 9th 2017)
